About us and why we're promoting plastic-free funeral flowers

Our directory was set up in May 2024 as a not-for-profit listing service to connect consumers with florists who can provide plastic-free, compostable flowers. Why plastic-free? Plastic floral foam underpins the majority of floral tributes in the UK and its disposal to landfill is both polluting and problematic.

Meet the Team

  • GIll Hodgson of Fieldhouse Flowers stands with a shareable arrangement in the form of a funeral casket spray made with seasonal spring ranunculus, aquilegia and anemones. It's on a woven coffin set against a backdrop of meadow and hills.
